Description
These heirloom cucumbers from Maine are crisp and perfect for salads or pickles. We have grown them here for over 10 years. These cucumbers are featured in the latest issue of Mother Earth News feature article by William Woys Weaver. They are an old heirloom from the Boothsbay Harbor region of Maine. They are wonderful on a trellis and hold up well for a marketing cucumber at farmers markets. They are a beautiful white to slightly cream colored as they age on the vine. We use them as well as the lemon cucumbers for pickles as well as summer salads.
They are not as affected by powdery mildew as other cucumbers. We have grown them for many years here in our gardens.
