Description
These red alpine berries have an intense strawberry flavor. Best grown in containers, ever-bearing , easy grow from seed or divide. I do not know the variety with these. They were a gift from a friend. They are productive with an incredibly intense flavor… delicious. I like to grow alpines in handing baskets a in my greenhouse where I can gather the berries and be sure they get water regularly. They bear the best in cool weather even in the dead of winter . They are hardy even below freezing thus the word ALPINE. They can be grown from seed . They are slow growing taking 6 months till they are ready to fruit . They can also be divided as a perennial. I put 3 plants in a pot.
