I discovered this wonderful fruit at a pub in Ireland a few years ago. Tall ground cherry- taste like pineapple, easy & delicious. This husked fruit was a garnish on a slice of cheesecake at a pub in Ireland. I bought some seed and tried my hand at growing it here in Zone 7 Delaware. I have it in my passive solar greenhouse and it bearing fruit in December. It is similar to ground cherries but larger fruit and a much taller plant that would do well trellised. It looks like a tomatillo but its tart and sweet with a sort of citrus flavor.
