We got our plant from Monticello. They make fragrant houseplants (Amomum cardamomum). Easy to grow. I use the leaves in cooking. I actually tried using the leaves in a mulled wine with great tasting results. I have also used the leaves to make Creme Brule. The leaves smell like the expensive seed spice. These are tropical plants so may need a sun room or greenhouse to produce flowers and seed. They are related to ginger and are and easy to grow houseplant. They do require regular watering. The plants grow to about 2 ft here in a pot. I also have some planted in an outside bed that is over 3 ft tall. I bring the pot in for the winter. The crushed leaves have a wonderful aroma. All of our plants are shipped bare root.
